We are an American family living in Tegucigalpa and we were directed to this store to purchase tapioca. We have had a terrible experience. Our 9 year old child walked through a juice aisle and because there was very little space, accidentally dropped 2 juice cans that got a very small dent. The store administrator immediately yelled towards our son "charge it to them" when she hadn't even taken a look to see if there was any damage. We didn't mind paying for them, but what we have abhorred is the way we were treated by the extremely rude store administrator who kept haughtily saying that the owners of the store would charge them for the juice cans even though they weren't damaged. We have pictures of everything: the tight aisle, the miniscule dents on the cans, the store itself; we even have video and voice recordings of the nasty exchange coming from the store administrator who refused to give us her full name. Our son is traumatized. Our friends are telling us we should appeal to the Fiscalia del Consumidor and the Fiscalia del Niño, not for the petty value of the juices, but for the way we were treated by the administrator and we could include the owner because she claimed to be on the phone with him, and his response was that if we didn't like it then we should sue him. Mind you there is NOT even 1 sign saying " if you bump into it, pay it" or " if you break it, pay it" or any of the sort. We filmed the whole store looking for something related to that. I wouldn't recommend anybody going there, especially because the owners and employees are obviously very mean people. We' ll make sure our community learns about our experience.
